With the importance of rapid deployment at the forefront of all commands, validating workforce readiness is critical. ASM III provides the resource readiness management tools necessary for accurate deployment preparation analysis. Users are able to prepare gap analysis on personnel requirements allowing supervisors to chart future needs against current personnel standings in order to facilitate strategic decisions about deployment.

Many parallels can be made between the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and the ASM system. Both are logistical formats designed for the advancement of resources through a predetermined arrangement resulting in a complete product:

  • MRP plans forecasting for production, ASM plans forecasting of people
  • MRP manages inventory control, ASM manages inventory of qualified personnel
  • MRP manages the manufacturing process, ASM manages the workforce building process
