The Advanced Skills Management (ASM) system is a personnel development tool created to support the mission of the military by improving the capability of our deployed forces and managing readiness of military personnel.
ASM was developed through a 10 year collaborative effort between NAVAIR, NAVSEA, CNATT, CNAF, the US Marine Corps and Paladin Data Systems Corporation. Since its inception, ASM has assisted in the qualification of over 60,000 military personnel by managing maintenance training records and standardizing the processes within Naval Aviation Maintenance. The success of the program in aviation created demand by other units for the program and was expanded to incorporate other communities including the Naval Expeditionary Combat Enterprise and Fleet Readiness Centers. The US Navy and DoD have unlimited rights to use the software and it is in use by active duty military, contractors and civilians.
