Versatile MappingPublic Portal Map Viewer
Searching for projects via the public portal provides viewers the ability to see recovery actions occurring within their watershed or statewide. Balloon markers shown on a map are more than just location project points. Using simple click and select functionality, viewers can access the specific project's page for detailed information. Map Browser
Interactive map browsers allow users to navigate directly to specific project locations and points of interest. Users can quickly select specific map areas with click and drag functionality. "EKO-System is a well designed, intutive system for cataloging and sharing our on-the ground actions. This robust project management system with reporting capabilities and a web-based public portal is effectively communicating our state's recovery goals and strategies." Richard Brocksmith, Hood Canal Coordinating Council |

EKO-System's interactive project map viewer, accessible via its web-based public portal, provides agencies the ability to display and communicate real-time project actions on a watershed, state or regional scale. This technology not only brings recovery actions to life, it showcases transparency and accountability for the implementation of strategic and comprehensive plans at all jurisdiction levels.
The map browser allows EKO-System users to quickly identify and navigate directly to projects. Useres can easily search for projects directly through the map, by category or status.
Both novice and advanced EKO-System users have the ability to map project locations without the aid of specialized GIS technicians to create the maps for them. Users can easily identify their projects on a map by creating points, lines, polygons and text to demonstrate project activity. Specific coordinates and shape files can also be added to accurately and spatially place mapping information. Images of the created map can then be saved to the project's home page or as jpeg files which can be added to grant applications, presentations or reports.
